| The Hayes Tool
The Hayes Tool™ is an extraordinary new device for the removal
and placement of retainer pins on excavation bucket teeth.
The versatile tool is the innovation of Ed Hayes, former equipment
maintenance supervisor for Simscroft-Echo Farms, a Simsbury based
site excavation, road and utility contractor. It is through his
work at Simscroft that he sought out and developed a safer, more
effective method of changing bucket teeth in the shop and at the
job site.
The Hayes Tool was granted United States Patent number 6,883,221
B1 on April 26, 2005.
